SANDI RIOS - Director
Sandi has coached numerous State, Regional, National, and World Champions. Her team, Syndication has won the gold medal at the World Championships in 1993 and 2005.
In addition to being a coach, Sandi is also a Master Judge and the U.S. Technical Adviser. |

COREY KINYON-CRUZ - Coach
Corey, a past National Grand champion herself, has coached many twirlers who later went on to capture State, Regional, and National titles. As a twirler, Corey specialized in the Strut event, and was also a member of the National Champion team, Devil's Advocate.
Corey also teaches Colorguard and Winterguard. |

JASON LEE - Coach, Student
Jason Lee returns to competitive twirling this year after exploring the professional side of twirling for a year as a coach and a judge. Previously, he twirled for 16 years, and was decorated with a plethora of State, Regional, National, and World titles. In 1997, Jason became the first and only American twirler to have won the Junior Men's Gold Medal at the World Championships.
Jason graduated from Stanford University in 2004, double-majoring in Mass Media Communications and Drama. He plans to attend law school and become a civil rights advocate. |

MONICA LEE - Coach, Student
Monica Lee has been twirling for 17 years, and has been honored with multiple State, Regional, National, and World titles. Since 2003, Monica competed with her brother, Jason Lee, as a pair, and are 2-time Bronze Medalists and 3-time Silver Medalists in the Senior Pairs division at the World Championships. Monica was also a member of the 2005 World Champion team.
Residing in Los Angeles, CA, Monica is pursuing a career in acting. She has worked on a number of film projects and musical theater productions since she graduated from UCLA's prestigious school of Theater, Film, and Television, in the musical theater program.

BREANNE ROWE - Student
Breanne has twirled under the tutelage of Sandi Rios since 2005, and competed at the 2009 World Championships in the Junior Women's category in addition to performing with the team -- her first year on the Syndication team.
In the future, Breanne would like to become a school teacher and continue in the sport of baton twirling as a coach. |

DREW ABRAMSON - Student
Drew Abramson lives in Damascus, Maryland, where he teaches dance at the Shining Stars Dance Studio. He was the 2008 Senior Boys Solo Grand National Champion, and he won the silver medal at the 2008 U.S. Trials in the Senior Men's category.
Drew currently attends Montgomery College, where he is also on the spirit squad. |

MISTY-JADE CARLSON - Student
Misty-Jade is from Portland, Oregon and has been involved in twirling and gymnastics since she was 4. Misty-Jade has won many national age group cups and several Jr. Oregon State Championships. She also trains in gymnastics and is currently a level 9 optional gymnast. Misty-Jade is the 2008 level 7 Oregon State Champion on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, and all-around.
Misty-Jade plays the piano, loves to draw, enjoys reading and is very attached to Tessa her cocker spaniel puppy. Her older sister, Amber, was also an accomplished baton twirler. |

KIERA HOLLOWAY - Student
Kiera Holloway has been twirling with Syndication for a year. She is from Sacramento, CA, and she currently holds the titles for California State champion, Western Regional champion, and Grand champion in Solo, Strut, Dance Twirl, and 2-Baton.
Kiera is in the 7th grade and attends Southpointe Christian Academy where she plays flag football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer. In her spare time she enjoys taking karate and hip-hop. |

BRIANNE TURNBULL - Student
Brianne is from Fresno, CA and is thirteen years old. Brianne began twirling five years ago and just started competing the past two years. Brianne started twirling after her sister encouraged her to join her in baton class. The two sisters have been inseparable twirling buddies ever since.
Brianne is in the 7th grade and attends St. Anthony’s School where she also enjoys playing on the soccer team. In addition to baton, Brianne also enjoys all types of dance including ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. She is currently a member of the Elite Dance Team at her studio. |

KAITLYN TURNBULL - Student
Kaitlyn is eleven years old and also from Fresno, CA. Kaitlyn has been twirling since she was five years old and has been competing for the past two years. Kaitlyn enjoys all styles of twirling, but has a special love for Strut and Dance Twirl.
Kaitlyn is in the 6th grade and attends St. Anthony’s School where she is on the school soccer team. Kaitlyn also enjoys all types of dance and is currently a member of the Elite Dance Team at her studio and is on the same competitive dance team as her sister. |

VERONICA AND VANESSA SISNEROS - Students
Veronica and Vanessa are twins, and they started learning to twirl two years ago. They enjoy Basic Marching, Presentation, and Dance Twirl Pairs. For their favorite event, Dance Twirl Pairs, they made up the first half of their routine themselves.
When they are not twirling, Veronica and Vanessa also enjoy dancing, shopping, and eating Pinkberry. |
COSTUME DESIGNER

THOM VINDIOLA
Thom has been designing costumes for Syndication since 2005. His work includes the 2005 team costume, Jason and Monica's pairs costumes from 2006 onwards, and most of Syndication's freestyle, pairs, and team costumes in 2008.
In addition to costume designing, Thom is also a renowned Colorguard and Winterguard choreographer. |
